Waipu Cove

Waipu Cove House

On a spectacular coastal site, three separate buildings (vehicle storage, guest accommodation and living pavilion) form a composition of light and heavy components in cedar and concrete. The outdoor space created between these components offers shelter from prevailing winds, provides relief from the sloping lawn, and allows the floor plan to transition from the arrival court, under a covered link, to the suspended glass pavilion which hovers dramatically at the edge of the ocean.
